A.L.I.C.E was inspired by my late mother Mary Alice Edwards, she was a lady with dignity and grace and she was  full of compassion. She was always giving and helping people, she gave from her heart unselfishly. She was a God-fearing lady that loved the Lord. After the passing of my mother in January 2015, I knew I had to do something in honor of this sweet lady to keep her legacy alive. She left her children with a legacy of love, respect and integrity. 

 

(A.L.I.C.E) Always Loving In Caring Everyone is a 501(c) 3 organization incorporated in March of 2016 as a community-based non- profit organization. A.L.I.C.E will vigorously work to develop a comprehensive plan to respond to the many needs of the community with integrity.

 

A.L.I.C.E mission and goal is to provide a Safe Haven that promotes stability and personal growth for homeless abused women and their children. A.L.I.C.E vision is to serve as an anchor in the community. A.L.I.C.E will partner with other agencies to provide the families with critical services such as medical attention, counseling, legal advocacy, employment assistance, childcare/ schools, transportation, and permanent housing. With the high incidence of Domestic Violence, the demand for adequate intervention and shelter for housing has increased. This is a much-needed program, A.L.I.C.E is determined to change a women and her family's life "one day at a time".  

 

A.L.I.C.E has also implemented the Rising Stars Girls Mentoring program in October 2020. Rising Stars mentor young girls ages 10-18 on the second Saturday of the month at Lindblom park 6054 S Damen Chicago, IL, 60636 from 11: 00 a.m. - 1:00 .pm. and it's free to all participants.
